Contextualize your products
A typical retail SMS program goes something like this:
* Reply “y” for your “welcome10” discount
* Blast out random product links
* Send out discounts whenever you’re feeling a bit anxious about sales
You can tell immediately which brands are using which SMS platforms because they all follow the same, stale formula.
Ever get a bunch of texts on the same day with nearly identical offers? The lack of imagination out there is pretty desperate.
